My grandma always bakes some treats when somebody comes to visit her. Anybody. She also cooks lots of fabulous dishes, so I usually come back home with a list of new recipes to add in my files.
This brownie bites recipe is one of them, and it made my cousins VERY happy, and there wasn't one single left when we said godebye to her, two days later.
She got the recipe from here, a nice blog when she also found a minced lamb and veal curry to die for.
I translated the recipe below. She diced it in little bites so you can enjoy it without feeling heavy afterwards... and so it can last longer (otherwise I think it would have been gone in 4 minutes).
Two Chocolate and Pecan Brownie (Bites)
- 175g butter
- 250g dark chocolate
- 150g pecan nuts
- 200g white chocolate
- 250g brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 vanilla pod
- 150g flour
Preheat the oven at 180°C (or 355°F) and prepare a mold with baking sheet.
Melt butter and dark chocolat together in a bain-marie, while you roughly chop pecan nuts and white chocolate.
Mix sugar with eggs in a bowl until it's fluffy and fluid. Add vanilla seeds, melted and mixed chocolate and butter, and stir everything to incorporate.
Add flour, then pecan and white chocolate. Mixture should be compact. Pour into the mold and bake for 35 minutes.
Let it cool in the mold then cut it in bites.
